While travelling towards Cuttack from Bhubaneswar, there lies this small, nondescript town right beside the National Highway, by the name, 'Pahala' that boasts of probably the softest Rasagolas (rasgullas) you can ever find anywhere - their varieties literally melt in the mouth! So if you happen to visit Odisha, if possible do as well add 'a visit to Pahala' in your travel itinerary, so that you can try their Rasagolas at least once. I bet you will become addicted to them at once, so much that you will want to visit the place again and again to devour their rasagolas! One of the distinct features of their Rasagolas is their slightly brownish colour (of course, one can also find the whitish rasagolas too at Pahala). And certainly, Salepur Rasagolas available at Salipur (or Salepur town) too are equally famous for their light-brownish rasagolas. But comparatively Pahala is nearer to my place than Salepur and therefore it is Pahala that I frequent more often.

Well, day before yesterday, I decided to try making those light-brownish rasagolas at home. And luckily they came out quite well. I hope, in my next few attempts, my rasagolas will come out even better.
